The Invention of Sarah Cummings book #3 in series "Avenue of Dreams" by Olivia Newport
I have not read any of this series but really enjoyed reading the story of Sarah who wanted to have a different life so badly that she made one up....
Sarah was a normal happy little girl until her life changed drastically one day when her parents were both killed and she was left alone...an orphan. She was put in a orphan home because there was no other family.
Life as she knew it then made her dream of being someone else. someone important.
At a young age she was put out to service and became a maid to a wealthy family. Her Mother had taught her to sew so she remade beautiful outfits for herself from castoffs of the family. and she dreamed....
I guess we all want to be someone else at one time or another in our life but Sarah took it so to heart that she invented Serena Cuthbert and became two people for awhile.
Have you ever thought of doing this? Sarah could not see what was right before her in that Simon Tewell the head of the orphanage had feelings for her. when she did notice she ignored it because he could not give her the life she thought she wanted.
I enjoyed reading how Sarah learned much during this story and am sure you will too ..come learn about Sarah and Serena and how this story ends...
I received this book from the Bookclub network along with Revell publishing, thank you.
